Arma Reforger: a better session starts with your squad

Pick the experience, not just a server name
Bohemia’s overview distinguishes Conflict, cooperative Combat Ops and player-directed Game Master scenarios. Ask which experience your group is planning. A relaxed learning session, a public objective fight and a scheduled operation can have very different expectations even within the same game.
State the amount of time you have and whether you want guidance. Choose a manageable first contribution with the group rather than pretending to know every system. Helping with communication or transport can be more useful than arriving with an elaborate personal plan nobody else knows about.
Before joining a modded or cross-platform session
The game supports community-made Workshop content, but that is not a promise that every individual server accepts every platform or mod combination. Confirm the session details with its organizer.
- Match the exact server name, game build and intended scenario. Do not confuse an Experimental installation with the build the group is using.
- Ask for the required Workshop items and allow download time before the start. Use the game’s Workshop and the organizer’s confirmed list, not a random executable from a message.
- Tell the group your platform and ask whether this particular session supports it. Do not assume a PC-specific instruction is available on a console.
- Check audio, agree on the meeting point and say whether you prefer voice, text or listening while learning.
Use the war room to organize, not to guess
After accepting the Game Serv rules, select the 🪖 Arma Reforger role in the Tactical & Military panel. Open the war room, read its guidance and use the session-post builder below. Include a start time with a time zone so people do not have to guess when “tonight” means.
Before play, agree who is organizing, which server you will use and a rough finish time. If you need to leave or the plan changes, update your original post. A quiet conversation is a chance to arrange a future session, not a guarantee that a squad will appear immediately.
Give helpers enough evidence
For a join failure, share your platform, build, exact error, server name, approximate time and whether the problem happens elsewhere. Mention recent mod changes and what you already tried. Remove account details and private connection information from screenshots.
Use our observed server directory as a starting point, then confirm the session in Discord. Developer issues belong on the official feedback routes; Game Serv access or moderation questions belong with our staff. We are an independent community, not Bohemia support.
