Ready or Not: brief the team before entering the lobby

Find a small cooperative team with the same expectations. Agree on the mission, play style and compatible lobby before the session, whether you are learning or organizing a careful run.

Match expectations before matching equipment

VOID Interactive describes Ready or Not as tactical cooperative play for up to five players, with crossplay. A compatible lobby still needs a clear organizer. Name the host, mission and open spaces instead of presenting a Discord conversation as a running dedicated server.

Agree on whether you want a first attempt, relaxed practice, a scoring-focused run or another specific goal. Discuss pacing, nonlethal preferences and mission spoilers before starting. People can enjoy the same game differently; a clear invitation avoids treating an unstated preference as a rule someone should have guessed.

A short pre-mission readiness check

Use this briefing with the group rather than assuming that a friend’s settings or installed content match yours.

  • Confirm everyone’s platform, game build, mission access and intended host. Check crossplay settings when mixing supported platforms.
  • State whether the host uses mods and confirm the whole group can join. If compatibility is unclear, try an agreed unmodded session before adding changes.
  • Check audio and agree how the team will communicate. Discuss equipment roles and the intended approach in the lobby, not while someone is already waiting to start.
  • Give a date, time zone, expected duration and number of open spaces. Standard co-op supports up to five total players, not five extra teammates.

A useful debrief makes the next run easier

Accept the Game Serv rules, select the Ready or Not role and use its conversation to organize. The builder below creates a draft to copy and post yourself. It does not create a lobby, send invites or publish on your behalf.

After the run, note what the group would change and whether you want another session. Keep the debrief constructive, label spoilers and ask before sharing another player’s voice or identifying details. These preparation suggestions are not claimed first-hand mission testing or a guaranteed scoring strategy.

For connection trouble, record the platform, build, host/mod setup, exact error and approximate time. Remove private account or invite details before sharing evidence. Use official support for game problems and community staff for Game Serv access or conduct issues.
