Game Serv: a community for Minecraft projects
Find someone to explore with, recruit help for a shared build or plan a fresh survival session. Start with the edition and the project, so the people who answer know whether they can actually join.

Check compatibility before inviting a friend
Start by saying Java Edition or Bedrock Edition, then the platform and exact game version. These names are not just cosmetic labels. Do not assume two installations can share a server because both say Minecraft, or that a console has the same custom-server options as a desktop.
Ask the organizer to confirm the supported edition, version, modloader or modpack and whether there is a whitelist. Cross-edition joining needs specific support on the destination; Game Serv does not promise it here. A Discord game role is an interest choice, not approval for a server whitelist.
Give a build or survival session a clear brief
“Let’s build something” is easier to answer when people know the scale and the boundaries. Share a small plan that someone can contribute to in one session, then grow it together.
- Name the goal: starter settlement, exploration trip, transport link, redstone experiment or another specific project. Say whether beginners are welcome.
- Explain the mode and constraints: survival or creative, shared resources, what may be changed and who to ask before moving someone else’s work.
- Include a start time, time zone and likely finish time. State whether people need voice or can coordinate through text.
- Confirm the destination and any access requirements with the organizer. Do not post private server credentials or ask other players to share Microsoft passwords.
From Discord interest to a real session
Complete any Discord screening, read the Game Serv rules and add the rules post’s ✅ reaction. Then choose the 🪓 Minecraft role in the Creative & Social panel and open the Minecraft conversation. Use the builder below to prepare a post; it does not publish or submit a whitelist application for you.
When a group forms, agree on a meeting point and a useful first task. Ask before altering another player’s build and keep feedback about the project constructive. If you cannot attend, update your post so others can adjust. A community project should remain welcoming when someone is still learning.
Troubleshoot the mismatch, not your whole computer
For a connection problem, include the edition, exact version, platform, destination name and full error message. Say whether mods are installed and whether the organizer has confirmed your access. Redact private connection details. Do not reinstall everything or disable security controls just because someone suggests a shortcut.
The official multiplayer guide is a good reference for edition-specific joining steps. Use the server directory for Game Serv observations; this page does not advertise a verified live Game Serv Minecraft server. This is an independent fan community, not an official Mojang or Microsoft service.
